BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER SEASON 2 / DARK HORSE COMICS SWEEPSTAKES RULES 5/23/02

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Void where prohibited. Open to residents of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico) who, as of May 23, 2002, are 13 years of age or older. Contest begins on May 23, 2002, and ends on July 31, 2002. Eligible E-mail entries must be received by July 31, 2002, and Mail-in entries must be postmarked by July 31, 2002 and received by August 6, 2002. To enter, submit your name, address, age, phone number and email address on a 3x5 index card enclosed in a stamped No. 10 envelope addressed to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 2 Sweepstakes, c/o Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, P.O. Box 900, Beverly Hills, California 90231-0900. To enter online starting May 23, 2002 at 11:59 AM PST participants must visit the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 2 Sweepstakes website located at www.Buffydvd.com and follow the links and instructions provided for online entry. Online entries must be received before 11:59 AM PST on July 31, 2002.

Limit one entry per person per envelope or one online entry per day. Not responsible for lost, late or misdirected entries, illegible entries, or entries containing incorrect information. Not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone, computer systems or services. Entries become the property of the sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sweepstakes winners will be selected from a random drawing held on or about August 9, 2002 from among all eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by mail, telephone or email. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Prizes and approximate retail values: 1 Grand Prize winner will get their likeness drawn into an upcoming Dark Horse Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic book, win Buffy graphic novels and a copy of Buffy season 1 DVD (Approximate retail value $600). 10 First Prize winners will receive Buffy graphic novels and a Buffy season 1 DVD. (Approximate retail value $100).

Computer entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

Employees of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, Inc., ("Sponsor"), and Dark Horse Comics or their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household are not eligible. Only one prize per family, household or address. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted except as provided herein. All federal/state/local taxes are the sole responsibility of prize winners. All federal/state/local laws and regulations apply. Each potential prize winner must execute an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance Form/Release Form within 15 days of notification. Non-compliance/return of prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner within 72 hours.

By participating, entrants agree that the Sponsor, Dark Horse Comics, those involved in the development, production (including prize suppliers), implementation, and distribution of this promotion and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, service providers, and agencies, and their directors, officers, agents, employees, attorneys, and any other person or entity associated with such entities and/or promotion shall not be liable for any and all claims, damages, losses or injuries, including any third party claims, arising from or relating to, in whole or in part, this Sweepstakes, including entry and participation in this Sweepstakes and acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prizes. All entrants further agree that in the event of any third party claims, damages, losses or injuries, arising from or relating to this Sweepstakes, they will indemnify Sponsor and Dark Horse Comics from any and all such claims, including the attorney's fees related thereto. Sponsor shall not be liable for entries and winner notification responses that are delayed, lost, misdirected, mis-delivered, marked postage-due, illegible, mutilated, incorrect or incomplete, and such entries will not be eligible for this Sweepstakes. The Sponsor shall not be responsible for any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer on-line system, computer equipment, software, program malfunctions or other failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human, mechanical or technical in nature, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from downloading any part of this Sweepstakes. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Sweepstakes will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Sweepstakes should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond its control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor further reserves the right to modify the rules of the Sweepstakes in any way at any time, as long as reasonable notice is given. This Sweepstakes shall be governed by California law. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree that California courts shall have jurisdiction over any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this Sweepstakes and that venue shall be only in Los Angeles, California.

All materials submitted become the property of Sponsor. By entering this contest all entrants agree that Sponsor has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from the contest and its determination of the winner is final. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decision of the judges, which are final.
